We are told in the holy scriptures that God created man of the dust of the ground first and then breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and “man became a living soul.” To reiterate the words of the Apostle Paul, “…that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.” 1 Corinthians 15:46-47.
Therein lies the division between the nature of a beast and the spiritual manโtogether as one being, yet comprised of two distinct parts, the physical and the spiritual. Man, who was created on the sixth day of creation, was appointed the number six as a representation. The seventh day of rest is the Lord. The week is incomplete without the seventh day, and so is man.
When the first man, Adam, whom Paul calls the earthly man, fell to temptation and sinned, he became dead to the second man, whom Paul declares is “the Lord from heaven.” Thus, Adam was left to his earthly nature, and his spirit and conscience were overcome by the workings of sin in the flesh.
Nonetheless, there was still hope because Adam and Eve retained a conscienceโotherwise, they would not have attempted to cover themselves and hide in the gardenโbut they now had no power over their sinful nature.
From that point on, the only hope for mankind was that Christ would restore the second man to power through his own death and resurrection. Thus, we must be born again, since through sin, the first man of the earth slew the second man of the soul.
Therefore, the conduit back to a man’s heart is through his conscienceโan acknowledgment of a difference between good and evilโout of a desire for restoration back to life through the death and resurrection of Christ. This can only come through the tugging of the Spirit on the heart of man through his conscience.
Therefore, there is a war for the soul of man between the nature of the beast and the Spirit. The beast will kill what remains of the conscience if it is allowed. God seeks our salvation before such a death is complete; however, he said his spirit will not always strive with man. Like Pharaoh, if we consistently refuse to yield to the spirit, the conscience will harden until there is no avenue to the soul.
The number three has great significance in scripture. Throughout, it is a harbinger of what is to follow. The number of man being sixโafter three sixes is the solidification of the natural man in the flesh. In John 6:66, we read that certain of Jesusโ disciples turned back and walked “no more with him.” This is because they rejected the concept of eating the flesh of Christ, who had no sin in his flesh.
In the Revelation of John, which confirms a dream given to Nebuchadnezzar, it is revealed that the last kingdom on earth before the coming of Christ will be a kingdom that subdues the whole earth. There are none remaining like it of whom it is said, “Who is like unto the Beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
Nonetheless, this worldly power is destroyed by a stone cut out of the mountain without hands that fills the earth and that breaks in pieces the feet of the diversity of nations on which it stands. Daniel 2.
God destroyed the work at Babel and scattered the people, because when all the people of the world become one, one is evil. There is no place for God when the world is oneโit is one against God. When the world is one, it is ruled by the first man, which is the Beast, and the second man, which is Satan.
Ever since God scattered the people, Satan has worked feverishly to bring all the world back under his rule. Throughout history, you can see the same spirit constantly being revived through the most powerful dictators, kings, and kingdoms to subdue all and rule all.
It is no more than the spirit of Satan and his armies moving through each generation, still fighting to establish himself as God. This is only possible if mankind is completely given over to its beastly nature.
The Bible states unequivocally that we are beasts. In Ecclesiastes, King Solomon stated concerning the estate of the sons of men that God might manifest them and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
It will not matter how modern or advanced mankind becomes if man is a beast. All of the knowledge and all of the intellect, as well as any modern advancements, will only be used to serve the beast. And the sole nature of a beast is to devour. Arise and devour much flesh!
Revelation 13 reveals that the whole world will wonder after the Beast. It is given to the Beast to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and power is given him over all kindreds, tongues, and nations.
Chapter 2 of Daniel speaks of this kingdom, which subdues all nations. Having feet made partly of iron mixed with miry clay, the kingdom is partly strong and partly weak. For they mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they do not cleave to each other, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
To “…mingle themselves with the seed of men” is a mixing of all nations into a multicultural kingdom, embracing the concept of diversity. However, Daniel says the different cultures and people are not cohesive and do not adhere to one another.
The erasing of borders and mingling of nationalities is an attempt to undo what God did at Babel when he divided the nations. Satan is using his agents in an attempt to restore all people to their original status as one people. However, the world they imagine will crumble apart like iron mixed with clay. Chaos and destruction will ensue on a global scale.
Those who hold the most power and influence in the world today are united in working toward the dominance of the whole world. They seek to erase God from modern civilization so that they may be God. Spiritually speaking, it is the attempted murder of God.
Christ came to destroy the flesh so that the soul might live. The antichrist is Satanโs answer to Christ. He comes to destroy the soul so that the flesh may liveโthe Beast, mankind void of God.
