βHundreds of thousands of people everywhere are now thinking upon the lines foreshadowed by my Open Conspiracy, not because they had ever heard of the book or phrase, but because that was the way thought was going.β – HG Wells
Almost 100 years ago, HG Wells, in his book The Open Conspiracy, forecasted of a global movement consisting of many diverse entities and individuals who would unite in an organized effort to erase history, overthrow traditional values, cultures, and laws, and replace them with a modern progressive worldview.
Wells went on, βIn this book we are not starting something; we are describing and participating in something that has started. It arises naturally and necessarily from the present increase of knowledgeβ βThe Open Conspiracy is not to be thought of as a single organization; it is a conception of life out of which efforts, organizations, and new orientations will arise.β
What Wells describes in his book is a spiritual mass movement. This movement consists of some who are aware of what they are a part of and many more who are not. Most have never met or communicated with one another; nonetheless, even with differing visions of the outcome, all are enjoined by the same totalitarian spirit according to their personal agendas, all working to reach the same endβa totalitarian world-stateβruled by a spirit of Antichrist.Β
When God formed Adam from the earth, he first created man a physical body. He then breathed the breath of life into Adamβs nostrils, and man became a living soulβan eternal spiritual being. Thus, we are all spiritual beings embodied in flesh and blood, like water in a vessel.
Although we live in a world where we are more conscious of our material surroundings, we are often moved in spirit by our subconscious. Whether by premonitions or analysis, we come to conclusions about the shape of things to come.
It is true that many, if not most, conspiracy theories are false. Nonetheless, real conspiracies do exist and are often perceived without empirical evidence; indeed, we are spiritual beings. However, there are many lying spirits but only one spirit of truth.
Everything we see playing on the worldβs stage is a physical expression of spiritual inspirations, some good, mostly evil. And just as there are real conspiracies and collaborators, there is a spiritual conspiracy that began in the beginning and is still running its course as it comes to itβs final climaxββthen shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.β
βFor we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.β
The conspiracy to overthrow God is the oldest of all conspiracies. The Lord, who created all things, in his infinite wisdom, chose the world to be the battlefield for this confrontation. The real conflict on earth is indeed against principalities, against powers, and against the rulers of the darkness of this world, who are inspired by spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly realm.
When H.G. Wells, the author of βThe Time Machine,β who was a devout atheist, wrote The Open Conspiracy in 1928, what he was attempting to convey was a spiritual war in secular terms. His stated goal was not to create a new movement but to build upon and assist in bringing to fruition a movement that was already existingβto replace traditional values and culture founded on Judeo-Christian ideas with a conception of life out of which new orientations would arise.
Simply put, Wells was advocating a culture war to tear down and replace Western civilization by uniting all nations in a βNew World Orderββwhich was the title of his 1940 book publication.
Wells was correct in his assessment of the direction things were moving; Western civilization is at the brink of collapse even now. His premonition that the soldiers fighting to destroy the foundations of Western societies was also correctβthey need not communicate, share the same agendas, lifestyles, culture, or beliefs, other than having the same spirit that seeks the destruction of the West.
Today we see Marxist protesters supporting holy warriors that call for their death. The shared agenda that bonds them is the destruction of civilization as it has been, each hoping their personal agendas will take its place. The spirit of conflict and destruction is a common denominator that shall not stand; it is the spirit of Satan.
βAnd if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.β (Mark 3:23-26)
βBut the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.β (Daniel 7:18)
